If I switch to you, will my current provider charge me any cancellation fees?

If you are on a contract with your current provider, they are likely to charge you a cancellation fee. If you are on ‘Open Plan’ they most likely won’t charge you any cancellation fees. However, the only sure way to know is to call your current provider and ask them.

Are there any joining fees?

No, we don’t charge any joining fees.

If I sign a contract with you, will my rates be fixed?

It depends on the agreement you sign, as all agreements have different terms and conditions relating to fixed rates. We will let you know the terms and conditions applicable to you when we present an offer to you.

How long does it take to switch power companies?

Usually it takes 10 working days after we receive a signed agreement from you.

Will there be there any power cuts during the switching process, and do I need to change my meter?

No, it is not a physical switch and it doesn’t even involve a visit to your site.

What do I need to do if my power gets cut off?

First, you need to call Vector if you are in Auckland, and if you are outside of Auckland please check your power bill for outages phone number.

Will I receive one or two invoices (one from you/one from the power company)?

We have found that customers prefer to receive one invoice instead of two because it is more convenient for them, so we combine both bills into one.
